Burnout Syndrome in Primary Health Care professionals during the COVID-19 pandemic

Workers in Primary Health Care (PHC) play a key role coping with COVID-19, which required personal and work-flow changes, causing physical emotional overload stress, could lead to Burnout Syndrome (BS). The objective of this study was check the prevalence BS health professionals working PHC municipality Curitibanos, state Santa Catarina, Brazil. research carried out between November 2020 May 2021, sociodemographic questionnaire, Brazilian version Maslach Inventory - Human Services Survey (MBI-HSS), contains 22 questions three dimensions Emotional Exhaustion (EE), Depersonalization (DP) Personal Fulfillment (PF), were applied. Data collected analyzed descriptively subsequent statistical comparison. Participants were50 volunteers aged 40.1 ± 9.5 years, time profession 10.8 7.9 years. Results MBI-HSS showed risk moderate for EE high DP PF. However, no significant difference detected variables. In conclusion, 17.6+11.4 points (moderate); 6.6+5.0 (moderate) 36.8+6.6 RP (high), indicating that evaluated population already demands some need contingency or preventive care because it has clear predisposition BS. there association
